FTF Excavation is proudly owned and operated by Taco Zandstra, a military veteran with a lifelong passion for machinery and precision work. With over 15 years of hands-on experience running heavy equipment—and 5 years focused specifically on excavation—Taco brings a rare mix of technical skill, landscape design knowledge, and practical problem-solving to every job. Each job is priced based on scope, materials, and volume. We provide a detailed quote after an on-site consultation—no hourly billing or surprise charges.
Most jobs are scheduled and started within two weeks of the deposit. Timing may vary depending on the season and weather conditions.
We primarily serve clients within a one-hour radius of Lower Sackville, including the broader Halifax Regional Municipality.
We have a QP available for all your septic needs, we can also install or replace systems!
Absolutely. We use a dump trailer to haul away debris, soil, and excess material as part of the job.
We assess access during the site visit and plan accordingly. We’ll let you know upfront if any adjustments or limitations exist.
